Fire escape cable for high building - has cable carrier moved up wall with ring automatically swivelled to hold over bracket on building top

The escape cable is attached to a carrier which is driven up the side of the high building by a turbine, fitted at an angle. On top of the carrier is a ring, pivoting on arms. This ring has a pointed top and is carried in the horizontal position. When the carrier reaches the top of the building, the ring contacts a bracket, mounted over the parapet as a cantilever. The ring is automatically swivelled through 90 deg. into a vertical position. The carrier descends down the face of the building, leaving the ring, with cable attached, secured over the bracket.
