PURPOSE:To detect directly and sentively the flow of the gas in a blast furnace and to perform stable operation of the blast furnace by inserting and installing thermocouples into the plural positions of the furnace, and controlling the distribution of charge with the temp. measured with the thermocouples as an index for the flow of the gas in the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Plural thermocouples 2 are inserted and installed in the wall 3 of a blast furnace 1 so as to project into the furnace in the plural positions in the height direction of the furnace and in the plural circumferential positions in each position. The results of the temp. measured with the thermocouples 2 in the respective positions are inputted to an arithmetic processing unit 7, by which the information 8 on the present temp. including the temp. pattern and temp. change in the circumferential and height directions is obtd. The information 8 which indicates the flowing condition of the gas in the furnace is compared with a target temp. 9 in a comparator 10. A signal for controlling the distribution of the charge is applied to a movable armor 6 if the compared value exceeds a specified range. The stable operation of the blast furnace is thus accomplished without fail. |
