Dental instrument for applying decay attacking fluid to teeth has a tubular member to conduct fluid from a supply to a working end which is formed as a spoon excavator which has side surfaces outwardly diverging from the contour of the tubular member, a curved terminating surface, a flat top and a depressed bottom surface. Used for administration of N-haloamine or similar soln. to dental caries or plaque to effect dissoln. Spoon end permits lifting up of areas of carious matl. to provide better access to the caries by the liq. while being easier to use and more comfortable to the patient than prior used hypodermic syringe needles.
