The input-output equipment for an electronic data processing system of a knitting loom includes a control panel for the dialogue of the operator with the computer when one of the peripheral appliances is connected. This panel contains all input keys and display unitss for all knitting patterns. This requires only one input/output equipment to feed the necessary colour and ancillary data into the computer memory. A program card on the control panel which can be written in any language eases the work of the operator more than an image on a screen.
