<p>A sensor or monitoring device for use with dialysis devices to determine the amount of blood overflow into a dialysis solution used in haemo-dialysis, has light transmitting windows on either side of the measuring diameter through which the fluid passes. A light beam passes through the fluid and alterations in the transmissivity of the fluid are recorded by a detection system. The inlet (3) of the system has a series of outlet apertures directed towards the windows (8, 9) through which the light beam travels.</p> |
