There may be two partitions connected to each other along the centre line of the mould tofform a single, planr, diametrically extending wall. Alternatively, there may be three partitions which meet at the centre line of the mould, each at 120 degrees. Pref. the insert is in two parts, one part consists of two partitions connected integrally at 120 degrees, and at its connecting point along the centre line of the mould is a recess in which engages a projection of the other part which forms a third partition. The insert allows a cake to be divided into large pieces uniformly and cleanly.
