<p>1480059 Valves SANDERS ASSOCIATES Ltd 19 July 1974 [27 July 1973] 32074/74 Heading F2V [Also in Division G3] A valve, e.g. controlling a relay valve in a servosystem, comprises a housing 11 slidably containing opposed landed spools 22, 27 having respective collars 33, 35 engaging fingers 41, 42 on an arm 38 actuated by an electric torque motor 37. The collars 33, 35 are urged apart by spring 43. An input signal to torque motor 37 causes arm 38 to displace spools 22, 27 to control flow from inlet 52 or 54 to outlet 51 or 53. Spools 22, 27 are slidable within sleeves 13, 14 which are threaded at 15, 17 to enable axial adjustment of sleeve ports 45, 47 relative to control lands 24, 29. The opposite ends of the spools may be subject to a feedback pressure or, via passages 61, 62, to drain pressure at port 55.</p> |
