A passive air pressure indicator for tubeless vehicle tyres consists of a conventional transmitter and receiver device (1-13) mounted on the wheel. When the tyre air pressure is low or high enough to endanger the tyre the transmitter controller is triggered. The transmitter operates at one frequency for low pressure and a different frequency for too high a pressure. The normal pressure for the trigger mechanism is adjustable to suit different tyre sizes. Both pressure monitoring circuit have test lamps able to show the units operational readiness. |
