<p>A refractory wall element of unit construction has a cast water-cooled frame in which individual tapered blocks are located and held by clamps. Used in the construction of industrial furnaces operating at high temperature. The unit as a whole is readily removed either by lifting from the top or from the bottom, and the component blocks too can easily be replaced; in both ways furnace down-time is reduced.</p> |
