The road-sweeping machine is of the type designed as a single-axled trailer to be towed by a small tractor and incorporates a power-driven brush device rotating against the direction of travel, sweeping up rubbish to be collected in a container, fixed on the chassis. The brush device (a) is mounted so that its height can be adjusted relative to the chassis (2), with control for this pref. provided by a road surface scanning device (16), in the form of wheels which may be on both sides of the brush, braced against the housing unit (8), which may be height-adjustably mounted on the frame. This is easily operated, sweeps effectively, and is not hampered by weight compensation considerations. |
