<p>Stacking unit esp. for paper stacks, has a stack support grating (7) comprising at least three groups of hollow rods each with air outlets. After a paper stack has been placed on the grating the latter is held in its position by a hydraulic or mechanical lock (10). After the stack (3) has been turned and a lower stack (11) on a pallet truck (9) has been moved in below it the lock is released so that the upper stack can be lowered as the lower stack is simultaneously raised. The lock for the grating is released automatically as the lower stack is raised. The back wall (6) of the stacker is a vibration plate.</p> |
