The door lock suitable for a sliding cupboard door can be positioned so that the locking bolt (7) can be pushed into a hole in the interior face of the door. A recess (12) on the underside of the bolt (7) is engaged by a spring loaded latch arm (16). To release the latch, a button (30) is rotates so that an arm (19) extending from it pushes one end of the latch arm. This pivots about a central pin (17) against the force of a spiral spring mounted on a block (15) on the latch, so that it is disengaged from the recess (12). The bolt can then be pushed back assisted by the spring, a finger grip (24) being mounted at the other end of the bolt.
