Acoustic signal generator consists of a buzzer supplied by dry batteries, and a switch and is used to indicate when the water in a bath reaches a desired level. The buzzer (5) and the batteries (10, 11) are in water-tight parts of a housing (1). The base of the housing is formed into a compartment (15) into which the water can enter through a hole (16). A float (17) on this compartment rises when the desired water level is reached and contacts the switch (19) to operate the buzzer.
