Drop forging machine sequential servo motor control system - has low pressure shut off valve controlling pressure distributor

A drop forging machine includes a pneumatic control system (11) for its forging hammer with a series of servo pistons (6) which are to be operated in sequence. The high pressure supply (2) is split into two paths to a high pressure distributor (3a to 3f) and a low pressure distributor (4a-4f). Each output is connected through a delay varying control (II) to a multi position valve (5) controlling a servo motor (6). A high pressure pulse through the valve operates the piston and air discharged enters a low pressure shut off valve (10) to operate a piston so that the low pressure side of the distributor is shut off and information is passed back to operate the next servo motor.
