<p>The hoist winch control and safety device is for one or more winches braked when not working. The winch brake is permanently spring-loaded into the applied position, and is released by a ram, which is controlled by an electrical circuit with relay contacts in series. The winch can be driven by a mechanism, each of whose components actuates one of the relays in the circuit. The cam can be a single-acting one, with two tappings from the supply pipe returning to the tank. The first tapping has a hand-operated distributor shutting the tapping off, and a solenoid valve actuated by closing the contacts of the relays in series.</p> |
