The headlamps are fitted with hydraulic servos linked to a common drive cylinder, in which two parallel pistons are driven by a vacuum operated servo linked to displacement sensors (9, 10) on the front and rear axles. The double arrangement of input pistons for the hydraulic links to the headlamps ensures even displacement for the two headlamps. The control servo circuit is operated by the vacuum level with differential pistons operating on the input side of the hydraulic servo. The two parallel pistons are linked by a simple yoke (26) so that a balanced force is obtained.
