<p>The assembly for checking vehicle tyre pressure consists of a rod (1) which can slide in a chamber (3). At once end of the rod is a fitting to signal electrically and at the other end there is a piston (4). On the piston is an adjustable pressure (Pi) balancing the normal tyre pressure (P) on the other side of the piston and connected by a channel (18) from the tyre. The pressure adjustment is done by a spring (6) and threaded screw (7). The rod presses against an insulated disc, closing a contact in a battery fed circuit. This, in turn, operates a warning lamp in the cab.</p> |
