The throttle linkage incorporates a pivoted lever (1) set over an electro magnet (2) held on a spring mount (3). The magnet is activated by a switch on the dashboard when the selected speed is reached. Microswitches on the brake and clutch pedals de-activate the electromagnet to reset the throttle to idling. The throttle pedal can be operated to override the setting so that a higher speed can be set. The electro magnet automatically clamps when the pedal is released.
