<p>The clamping device is intended for strips or foils with printed circuits, which are to be used with plug contacts. The respective plug has a rear structure (4). A rectangular rod, surrounded by a tube (3) and secured to it by a screw is mounted with both ends in bores (12) in protrusions of the rear structure provided for the purpose. The tube mounting is such that a foil (2) can be inserted between the structure and the tube and clamped by turning the rod securing screw. Preferably the plug is a distribution adaptor, designed for securing connecting lines in wrap wiring technique. Typically the screw length, the tube inner and outer diameters, and the rod dimensions are so matched that the bore side will not be damaged by turning of the screw.</p> |
