<p>The actuating mechanism is partic, for pressure-operated brakes on rail vehicles, having a ramp driv mechanism between the piston and a thrust rod at right angles to it. One or more of the ramp faces (19, 19') of the mechanism (12, 10, 9) is at a steeper angle for the part of the stroke corresponding to the application movement of the friction brake (1, 2, 3), and at a more gentle angle for the part of the stroke used for parking. The ramp piece (12) mounted on the piston rod (13) can work with rollers (10, 11), acting between it and the face of the other ramp piece (9) and a supporting face (6), the steepest portion of this piece (12) being furthest from the piston (14').</p> |
