1534425 Bearings POLMO FABRYKA MECHANIZMOW SAMOCHODOWYCH 23 June 1976 [2 July 1975] 26013/76 Heading F2A A support for jointed multiple-part shaftings comprises a roller bearing and an annular elastomeric casing 1, the bearing including an outer ring 3 having a raceway bounded on both sides by inwardly directed surfaces, the width of said raceway being greater than the length of the rollers 2, and the casing having its end surfaces 8 adapted for mounting sealing covers 11, said covers being made of elastomeric material so as to be elastically mounted on said casing surfaces and each being provided with a central opening, the periphery whereof forms a sealing edge 14. The difference in the dimensions of said raceway and said rollers defines the range of free displacement of the rollers along the width of the raceway. The length-to-diameter ratio of the rollers may be in the range of 1 : 1 to 2 : 1. The shoulder 12 of each cover may have a locking lip on the inner periphery which is a snap fit in a groove in the casing. An inner and an outer ring of recesses 20 are formed in the casing to increase its flexibility. At least three radial bores 19 may also be provided. The assembly may be further protected by sheet metal shields 21. |
