Rotary printer sequence numbering system - has numbering cylinders on print roller controlled independently

The head for a number printing machine has a printing cylinder (1) in contact with the pressure cylinder (2) which rotates with it. The numbering cylinders (6) are around the periphery of the printing cylinder. The numbering cylinders consist of rows of numbers to allow the printing of multiple digits. The numbering cylinders are fitted with a trigger mechanism to advance the numbering after printing. The numbering cylinder is locked into position by a spring loaded cam. The numbering sequence is controlled from a regulator (16) which allows individual control of the cylinders.
