<p>The peripheral moulding (3) may be used to mount a window (20) of an automobile and incorporates drainage outlets (12) for internal condensation. The moulding provides opposed channels (4, 6) which house the edge (5) of the opening and the vertical flange (7) of a window frame (2). The top face of the moulding is shaped (17, 11) to fall towards the exterior, to seal (15) against the underside (18) of the frame (2), and to permit condensation to flow out through the perforated (12) flange of the frame (2). The frame (2) is of a 'T' section with a short vertical upward return on the internal end of the bar, and the flange (7) or vertical leg is partially housed in the resp. channel (6). The flange projecting above the channel incorporates the drainage perforations and forms a gap between the top of the moulding and the underside of the frame.</p> |
