The winding (1) comprises a coil conductor (2) having turn which partially encloses electrical insulation (3) made of insulating material, such that phase change material is embedded in insulating material having phase transition temperature between 40-200[deg] C. The phase change material is made of material or mixture of materials from group of paraffins, salt hydrates, polyalcohols, and eutectic salts and cross-linked macromolecules. The phase change material is enclosed in microcapsules. The insulating material is cast resin.
