<p>The filler cap for a vehicle fuel tank has a screw boss engaging in the opening and a cover forming a hand grip. Between the cover (4) and the boss (1) is a torque-limiting device preventing overloading. They can engage together by means of protrusions fitting in recesses, it being possible to release them from each other by turning in the tightening direction, there being typically spring legs (6) on the cover which can come free of recesses in the boss, in its inner wall. The recess sidewalls can be chamfered in one direction of rotation, while in the other and unscrewing direction they are steep or vertical.</p> |
