Heat-proof screen for a building wall is fixed onto the outside of the wall (2). The screen (4) consists of panels (6) made of heat-insulating plastic. One of the surface of the screen (4) is faced with a reinforcement which is non-extensible in a horizontal and vertical direction. The reinforcement consists of a skin or mesh (8). The panels are placed in position of the wall by putting their surface covered with the reinforcement facing and in contact with the wall (1). The joins between the panels form a grid, the intersections of which have fixture for attachment to the wall of adjacent panels. The fixtures are in the form of nuts fixed to the wall, into which the panels are screwed.
