Multiple-motor drive field-excitation speed regulated d.c. motors regulation arrangement using the nominal busbar voltage derived from a static converter for supply to the d.c. motors, such as those used in a rolling mill or paper-making machinery, is designed to enable the slowest motor's speed to be fully controllable from idling speed up to full-load or power. The predetermined nominal magnitudes assigned for the speed-regulators of the discrete motors are additionally supplied to a gating unit whose output signal corresponds to the lowest of the predetermined nominal speed values. This output signal is reduced by a constant amount corresponding to the difference between the rated voltage and the smallest e.m.f. of the motors occurring at rated speed and rated excitation, and is given to the unit regulating the busbar voltage as a nominal value.
