<p>A controllable current source (17) is provided for the switching circuit. Its control input (9, 10) receives an auxiliary control voltage derived from the gate control voltage. The output (16) is connected to an output electrode (6) of the FET, which is not connected to a reference voltage, in such a way that the output current from the current source serves as a compensating current for the current dependent on the gate current of the FET (4) in the output circuit of the transistor.
