The support is attached at each end by a single-axis joint (16, 18) which in each case runs transverse to the longitudinal direction of the clamping iron and parallel to the work table. The horizontal (24) and vertical (26) contact faces on the clamping iron extend across its complete face and have spherical surfaces.
