The circuit breaker has an electromagnetically lockable latch and possibly an additional overcurrent trip. Two parallel current paths with switching contacts are provided in a housing. Contacts are operated by a common driver, hinged on a latching lever whose free end rests on a bridge tilted by an electromagnet. A slotted link with a locking catch is controlled by an externally operated tripping lever. Electromagnet excitation coil is connected to the mains by contacts closed manually, but automatically opened during switch tripping.
