Plastic carrier bag for provisions comprises connecting integrally to each face of the bag a handle portion with an undulating shape which is symmetrical with respect to the axis line located equidistantly between the side edges of the bag, with the lowermost points close to the side edges and the uppermost point on the axis line. The handle portion comprises a plastic band thicker than the bag material and extending parallel to the lower edge of the bag. This band has a lower edge intersecting with the undulating shape at points between the lowermost and uppermost points. The bag thus has reinforced handles, but its mfg. costs are reduced, and the side joints can be formed more rapidly. |
