Borehole jet piercing in loose soil - using admixture of water glass to hot gas to consolidate casing of borehole walls

A jet piercing method uses a hot gasses for the sinking of boreholes in unsolidified soil formations. The hot gas receives an admixture of water glass in aqueous solution or clayey paste. The former results in the formation of a solid silicate coating on the bore hole walls. The latter produces a load bearing layer of fired brick on the walls. This saves the subsequent lowering of casing and prevents the borehole from caving in.
