Hot-mouldable cardboard prodn. from reclaimed materials - esp. thermoplastics powder in core, with plant fibres and synthetic fibres in outer layers

Hot-mouldable cardboard prodn. from reclaimed materials, with core layer(s) and outer layers, is effected by incorporating 10-60 wt.% reclaimed powdered thermoplastic polymer in the core layer(s), the outer layers being produced from a thermoplastic mixt. of plant fibres and fibrous synthetic polymer. The process allows the use of heterogeneous materials of varying granulation, without impairing the function of the cardboard machine, and eliminates the danger of soiling the decorative finish.
