<p>The suspension claw for a load carrying member of a mine gallery overhead conveyor mounted on beams (3) as in the main patent includes two brackets (10, 11) clamped by a bolt (15) onto the lower flanges (2) of the beam. Each bracket has a slotted hole (23, 24) through it for a spindle with hooked ends (21, 22) carrying a fork (30) with a hole (29) through each arm, forming the eye member. The part of the spindle which fits inside the fork, may be of rectangular section, with sloping sides to match the slope of corresponding groove between the sides of the fork. In an alternative design, the spindle may have one end hooked and the other end straight, but externally screw threaded.</p> |
