<p>On the outer rim of a bottom for assembly into a material exchanging column, a number of anchorate bolts are spaced out uniformly on the same pitch circle. Between the bolts sealing strips are provided which can be displaced horizontally. The bottom may be formed from one or more discs which are smaller in diameter than the daylight of the column. The bottom may also be assembled from a number of strips, the width of which coincides with the pitch of the anchorate bolts. The bottom requires relatively little metal for its prodn. whilst the maximal rigidity is ensured. There are very few bolts and other details, whilst sealing of the edge is ensured even with columns which are out of round.</p> |
