PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a user operating an image forming apparatus of the transmission of document data from a client device to an external device or the possibility of an occurrence of a failure in the generation of print data of the external device.SOLUTION: A client device 100 first sends a temporary job to a printing service 200, and then, sends a real job including document data of an object of a printing instruction to the printing service 200 in the case of receiving the printing instruction from a user. The printing service 200 creates printing data of the temporary job and the real job, and sends the temporary job and the real job to an image forming apparatus 300 in this order. The image forming apparatus 300 determines that a job received from the printing service 200 is the temporary job or the real job, and performs an error display in the case that the printing data of the real job cannot be received within a prescribed time after receiving the temporary job.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
