The adhesive workpiece handler is intended for picking up individual parts from a container. It comprises a pointed element with a layer of adhesive material (2) and a member (8 or 10) which is movable relative to the element to remove the part after it has been picked up. The adhesive layer consists of a highly viscous resilient substance held in a receptacle (1) with a nozzle-shaped opening (7). The substance (2) may be pressurised by means of a load on a diaphragm (3). The diaphragm may be loaded via a pressure screw (6, 5).
