Solar heat collector - with inner flanges on casing carrying transparent cover plate

Solar heat collector has a casing with a bottom and four side wall with flanges bent over towards the inside. The transparent cover plate rests on these flanges and is sealed against the casing by an elastic sealing material. Such a collector casing requires no top frame so that its weight is less and it costs less. The radiation sensor is now readily accessible. Pref. the base, the sidewalls and the flanges of the housing are made out of a single sheet metal member.
