The dog's lead is of a rigid tubular construction, having combined handle and hand-control at the top, having a pincer type fastener at the base, and utilising the control to close the fastener onto either the neck or the collar of a dog. A rigid connecting rod displaces axially in the tube, its head attaching to a handle bar within a tube integral stirrup handle. Opposed demi-oviod pincer arms are pinned to the base of the tube, having short cranked diverging end returns. Pin-jointed links extend from the end of each return and converge to be pinned to the foot of the rod, with a housed coil spring tending to maintain the rod in the depressed position.
|
