Digestibility measurements in biological sewage treatment - in aeration and reclarification cylinder with air lift pump

Appliance to supply information on the digestibility of sewage by biological treatment systems consists of a vertical cylindrical aeration chamber in whicha sample is introduced at the bottom next to a bubble bed. A short pipe in a side wall takes the liq./sludge mixt. to a reclarification cylinder in which it descends in a pipe close to the mouth of a central tube. This central tube acts as an air lift pump so that the mixt. can be recycled several times. The digestibility parameters are measured by conventional instruments. This permits a continuous measuring of these parameters instead of draining both tanks and taking samples from them.
