The furniture fitting in the form of a cup-shaped hinge housing (1) can be anchored by means of a cup-shaped part (2) into a bore of a furniture door and used as a door side pivot carrier for a furniture hinge. The hinge housing has a locking element (9) which can be rotated about an axis at right angles to a circumferential wall and has a section for holding the locking element when it is in a locked position. Pref. in the hinge housing, two pivoted levers (10, 10') of the locking element are provided which are connected to each other by a U-shaped bracket (12). When the bracket is swivelled to a given position by hand the locking element is moved into a locking position.
