Caravan power supply connection - has socket attached to cover of protective housing, alongside fuse, held by catch when closed

The power supply connection for a caravan is protected by a weatherproof housing (5) with a swinging cover (2). The socket (1) is attached to the inside of the cover by a changeable fitting (7) and, when the cover is swung upwards about its horizontal hinge (10) at the top, the socket is also swung upwards ready for connection to the supply plug. The connection is then protected from the weather by the cover itself. The socket is of the protected contact type and is connected by a flexible cable (3) to a terminal block inside. Alongside is a protective fuse. The socket conforms with relevant standards and has two poles and earthing contacts. The fuse can be an automatic or melting type. The socket can be retained by a catch (8) when closed.
