Photosensitive electrophotographic composite material has a conductive substrate with 2 consecutive photoconductive layers (I) and (II). (I) is sensitive to at least pt. (light A) of the chromatic light in the visible region. (II) consists of a single layer or a laminate of a charge-producing and a charge transfer layer, transmits light A and is sensitive to another chromatic light (light B). (I) and (II) can each maintain an electric charge of opposite polarity and sufficient surface potential to form an electrostatic latent image, which can be developed with a toner. (II) contains light scattering particles (III), pref. with an ave. dia. of 0.01-18.0 mu m, pref. in an amt. of 0.01-1 wt.% if they are nonphotoconductive or 0.1-10 wt.% if they are photoconductive, both w.r.t. the single layer or the charge transfer layer. Dichromatic, as well as monochromatic, copies can be produced from a multicoloured original by a single exposure process.
|
