The terminal for quick attachment of electrical conductors to electrical apparatuses has a terminal body (60) in which a continuous opening (68) is formed to accommodate the stripped conductor wire (70) and a continuous seating (72) is formed, which opening and seating pass through one another. Recesses (55, 57) are formed in an extension of the continuous seating (72) of the terminal body (60), in the insulating material body (51) in which the terminal body is mounted. A plunger (piston) (76) which is provided with a transverse passage is arranged displaceably in the said seating (72) and one (55) of the recesses (55, 57). A spring (74) which is arranged in the other recess (57) forces the plunger (76) against a stop which is formed by the first recess (55). The plunger (76) can move against the influence of the spring into a position in which the transverse passage formed in it is aligned with the hole (68) for the conductor, so that said conductor can be inserted. When the plunger is released, said plunger moves back in the direction of its quiescent position and clamps the conductor (70) against a wall of the hole (68) in the terminal body (60). <IMAGE> |
