PURPOSE:To save electric power and to prolong the life of a copying machine by turning on the power source of the copying machine once money is thrown in, by subtracting the unit price of a copy from the thrown amount of money each time a copy is taken, and by turning off the power source when the remaining amount of money reaches zero or when the copying machine is not used for longer than a certain period. CONSTITUTION:As money is entered, the amount of money is accumulated in the register 111 of an arithmetic device 11 and the output of a comparator 13 connects a power source; when the value in the register 111 exceeds a copy unit price, a comparator 16 generates an output to make a copying machine usable. Each time a user pushes a print button, the copy unit price is subtracted successively from the amount in the register 111 and when the amount goes down below the copy unit price, the output of the comparator 16 is ceased, so that the copying machine is turned off. At this time, the machine is continuously usable if money is added immediately. A triggerable delay circuit 20 generates an output a certain time after a final copy is taken, and a change paying device 17 operates, thereby turning off the power source. |
