Modular valve for internal combustion engines, or other uses, with the purpose of controlling the passage of gases or other aggressive fluids through a pipe, in temperature environments from -40°C to 700°C, wherein said valve may have several parts, core component, support plate and axis, wherein one or more core components and one or more support plates may be stacked in layers, and wherein: - at least one of the components, the core component (1), is flexible, thin and rotates solidary with an axis (3) in order to close the opening (5). - at least one other component, the so called support plate (2a), has a thickness high enough to supporting and transmitting stiffness to the core component (1), wherein both components rotate solidary with an axis (3). - the core component (1) has a thickness less than the thickness of the support plate (2), in order to provide it with stiffness and facilitate the closing with angles near 90°. - at least one core component (1) and the at least one support plate (2) are solidary. - the core component (1) has dimensions greater than those of the one or more support plates (2a, 2b), in order to form a protruding edge (1r) that is deflected, due to its small thickness, in the contact area with the wall of the opening (5) when pressed through the axis (3) against the wall of the opening (5), thereby increasing the valve closing angle. |
