PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily detect a hydrogen peroxide source.SOLUTION: In an example of an embodiment, a sensor for determining whether a specimen contains a first substance comprises a base. In an example of the embodiment, the sensor for determining whether the specimen contains the first substance comprises, on a surface of the base, a detection unit on which a second substance including bond that is cut by reaction with hydrogen peroxide is immobilized.
