In a drawing apparatus with a device for reducing the drying time of the drawing ink, especially for sheets of drawings consisting of transparent plastic films, the working substrate for the drawing sheet which is to be positioned consists of a drawing board (1) with good heat conductivity which is provided with means (3, 5, 6) for the heating thereof. In particular, the drawing board (1) is heated by means of electrical heating elements. To this end, an electrical heating cable (3) is used which has silicone rubber insulation and is laid in meander-shaped channels (2a) of a support plate (2). <IMAGE>
