In front ploughs with a plough link and with a plough frame carried by the plough link and connected to the latter in an articulated manner, there is the need to design the front plough in such a way that, during transport, it has only a small length pointing in the direction of travel. This is achieved in that there is inserted between the plough frame and the plough link a real or imaginary joint which allows a pivoting of the plough frame relative to the plough link through more than 90 DEG , in such a way that the plough frame is approximately vertical, as seen in relation to the direction of travel. Furthermore, the joint arrangement is designed so that, during the pivoting of the plough frame into the position transverse to the direction of travel, the latter is at the same time displaced laterally in such a way that it comes to rest approximately centrally in relation to the plough link. It is also possible to provide an additional device, by means of which, after the pivoting in of the plough frame has taken place, the latter can be displaced laterally relative to the tractor until it is located centrally relative to the latter.
