<p>The following cpds. which were not examplified in the parent patent are specifically claimed (S)alpha-cyano (4-fluoro-3-phenoxy)-benzyl esters of IR, trans-or cis 3-(cyclobutylidene methyl)-2,2-dimethyl -cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid and 1R, cis or trans 3-(cyclopropylidene-methyl)- 2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropane 1-carboxylic acid i.e. cpds. (I) (where R is cyclobutylidene or cyclopropylidene). (I) are prepd. by reaction of (II) with (S)-alpha-cyano-1-(3-phenoxy-4-fluoro)- phenyl methanol (III), in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide and pyridine, pref. using methylene chloride as solvent. (where R is cyclopropylidene-methyl or cyclobutylidene methyl). Insecticides, nematocides, acaricides and fungicides active against plant and animal parasites. (I) may be used in association with other active cpds. and synergistic cpds. The may be applied locally by spraying, onto animals or plants, added to animal feed etc. Detected activity tests are described.</p> |
